Default Item Editor freezing?

Alrighty, im running W7 64bit. I ran into the same problem as the others where I had to go in and manually register the .ocx files to get the program to come up. My only problem now, is that the item editor freezes up completely when I try to create a copy of an item so I have something to work with when I create custom items.

Was talking with the GM that hosts the DB/Server, and he said that the item editor runs really, *really* slowly on his computer as well. Anyone have any idea why this is happening, or how to fix it?

If you're running it over a network, that will be the problem. There's no solution I'm aware of for that. That is due to the ODBC mysql driver.

Otherwise copying on a local machine is immediate.
