I could swear we have solved this issue but I'll ask a few questions and you give us the answers.

1) what ports are open to your server?

2) does the IP address field in your database match the IP address of the client that is trying to log in?

Answer those and we go from there.

this may sound like a silly question, but is your server local with your client ? i.e. Both running on the same machine ?

Also, from your client, where does it hang ?

Like BFCs hunch, I belive you can also get this error when the minilogin_ip isnt the actualy clients ip..

Your client always is connect on udp 9000 port (you can't change that).
You can change login port server : udp 5999 is for minilogin.
You can change zone port connection : udp 7100 and next on DRP pack (i think)
If you have minilogin settings and client and server are on the same computer, you don't need external/internal ip just use 127.0.0.1 or localhost.

XiNoiD,

These questsions have not been answered.

1) what ports are open to your server?

2) does the IP address field in your database match the IP address of the client that is trying to log in?

The information you gave us isn't what i asked you for. We need the answer to the above two questions before we can help you any further.

If you do not understand either of the questions, please state that so we can move forward with other questions.
