Default Maps not working in game

Hello folks,

Have read around the boards in this and found broken links (mapfiend) and general stuff that didn’t help.

How do I install maps so I can see them in game? I’m on Karana server and only pok map works.

Where do I install the maps? Where do I download them?

I downloaded Brelling maps and installed into Everquest folder not working, the. Installed in Maps folder - not working, then installed in a separate folder under maps - not working.

Thank you for the help! Loving EQ1 just new and trying to get things working. I appreciate the help.

Default

Maps go in the maps folder. You can put them in a folder like this /maps/brewell/airplane.txt and when you are in-game, open your map, and click the dropdown that says Default, then select Brewell (or whatever your folder is).

This lets you have different sets of maps. Not sure what client your own so I'm not sure when the maps subfolder feature was added, but at the least maps in the root of the maps folder should work.
