Default Question about EQEMU

Hi, I used to play WR so my version of EQ was all patched and set up to run that, do I need to reinstall EQ in order to set up for EQEMU or just repatch because when I tried to run it as is (following everything it said in the FAQ setup guide) I got a 1001 error that said the login server couldn't be reached or something.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Default EQHost?

Have you checked your EQ host file? I tried to look some of this up for you, it seems that all the 1001 errors result around an improperly configured eqhost file.

I followed the noob tutorials and edited the eqhost.txt file according to the instructions. I keep getting popup telling me it couldnt find the eqhost.txt file in my EQ directory even tho it is there. I'm gonna monkey around with it some more and see if I cant figure out what I'm missing.

if you have wr files, it is not compat with eqemu. you need to ask a friend for files.
