Default Can't get Everquest to work.
Not sure where to post this so ill try here. So I got the cd and followed all the steps to install the game and but when i try to load the shortcut, my screen turns black as if it's about to load, then goes to the desktop without saying any error. I'm on windows vista and i've tried to change my resolution and update my driver like I saw on the FAQ's but none of that worked.

Anyone got any suggestions? I really wanna try EQ again because I miss old EQ.

It's been a long time since I had to deal with this issue, but other than what you've already described, I would probably suggest looking into DirectX issues and possibly re-running OptionsEditor.exe in the EQ installation directory.
