I just wanted to thank you developers and dedicated enthusiasts for this great piece of work and all its tools. I have been following development since around 2005. I remember zoning into areas back then and ending up floating in space or devoid of mobs. I am amazed at how far its come, and how stable it is now. Thank you so much for EQEmu! Not only is it a learning opportunity to fully learn Perl, SQL, and setting up a server, but it is a way for me to make Everquest magic again, and more balanced toward a single player.
I spent some time last night editing Perl scripts and feeling how satisfying it was to have what I wrote appear in the game. I am awed by the amount of work you guys have done writing all those scripts. I was finding that it takes enormous time finding just the right item you want to reward the player with, trying to make it appropriate for the level and class. But you guys wrote them all from scratch!! Wow, just wow.
