Default What mysql version do you use?

Would any of you be willing to post what version of mysql you are using along with what other programs you had to install to make mysql work (ie: ODBC). I was thinking this could be the problem with the 2006/mysql error.

Also, if there where any special setting changes you had to make that where not included in instructions, posting this could be helpful too.

I just installed the newest MySql and went with it. Didnt nead anything else

I've run on both 3.x and 4.x (Linux) both work fine.

So, this shouldn't be the problem...

One weird thing. In the Databases section of mysql I have this view with no info in the other windows no matter how many times I click or double-click the database eq. This is true of the two default databases as well. I have no clue what would cause this.
