Error 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost'

Hey guys, I followed the server setup guide lastnight and got it up and running. I got in game, killed some stuff, and everything was working great. After I turned my computer on this morning, I noticed mysql.exe had been stopped, so I double clicked the file to run it.

I get the following error message:
Error 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Now I've searched all over these forums and haven't had any luck, so I was hoping someone could help me. I haven't changed anything since last night when everything was working perfect.

don't double click it. restart the service.

Wow, that fixed it. I feel like a retard now having wasted a few hours of my weekend searching all over for a fix. Thanks.
