Default Error: 1001 Can not connect to Everquest Servers

I've been trying around the hour to log in and it's not working. I did everything correctly except i didn't get eqfix, i just followed the tutorial found in the tutorial section. Why do i keep getting this nasty error?

EQFix? I am not familiar with that term. In fact, I don't recall posting anything about "EQFix" in my reply to you.

Regardless, let me know if you have a solution that fixes the transformer at Hogie's house.
