Default set up problem

ok ive set everything up properly, and go to log in, and as soon as i enter my screen name and password, im booted to desktop. anyone know the reason for this? also what exactly should i put in the eqhost file? im confused on this cause i see put 5997 one place, and 5994 another, any light shed on this would help also. thanx

This happens when your eqhost is an invalid format. Make sure there are no blank spaces at the end of any of the lines, copying and pasting from the forums adds them there.

Default same prob

ok, ive done as you suggested, and copied them over from the forum, but when i get to the acct name and password and try to log in, it just puts me back at my desktop. what causes this? any help would be appreciated

Like I said copying and pasting adds spaces to the ends of the lines that should not be there. Check for them and delete them. And make sure that there is one and only one blank line at the end of the file and that it does not have any spaces in it either.
