Default Is there a way to uninstall mysql

ive mistyped my sql password and have reinstall many times no luck. I cant bring up the server because it says not accepting username or password. ive read the faq and the post there no help.

uninstall it, reinstall it.

Go to your control panel and go to add or remove programs; mysql is on the list.

you have to find

my.ini or my.cnf

the uninstall never takes it out so you never get to change pass


my.ini should be in:
c:\windows\system
c:\
or
c:\windows\system32

thats how i fixed it

ah, I don't usually go with that method, because I installed a program called easyphp.. it kindve mesed mysql up for me.. but when I reinstall it, it resets it. werd
