Default Can't find DataRate?

Hello I on editing the eq files like it say's at http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9649
But I cant fint the DataRate.txt file I have windows xp and just installed eq on this pc. Well and to any how can help me. Have a good day.

Not sure it's used anymore, as it isn't needed. Just create DataRate.txt in your EQ directory.

The whole file should look like this:

...just that and nothing else.

Ok I did everything it sayed And it let me log on to see the servers but when I pick on it restarts EQ is that what it is doing to everyone right now? So I can make sure I have everything set up right. Thanks

You need a eqgame.exe from before the Feb. 10th patch is what I gather. Or wait until EQEmu can be updated. I picked a week too late to try EQEmu because I couldnt find my old EQ disk. Now I can't get on.

That wouldnt matter, if you installed your old disk. You have to be patched up to the newest version of EQ that works with EqEmu, which is something like 1/14/2004 or something like that.. Original installs will NOT work with EqEmu without SOME kind of patching, nor will the most brand new patch (read, from the 10th).

I meant I couldnt find my old EQ disk so I could install the game. I haven't played since December of 1999 and I am on a new PC. I wanted to start last week but had to go with Ultima Online insteasd until I found my disk.

Last time I played EQ they had just added the Plane of Hate and the Temple of Sol. Ruins wasnt even available yet.

Aaaaaah gotcha...

I havent played live since just after velious expansion.. Played from Beta until then.. what was that about 2 to 2 1/2 years? Hell I dont know, but Ill bet my bank accont knows and remembers well, haha
