Dual Box Running Server On Server Comp

After reading dozens of pages of posts, I still have yet to see anything about dual boxing the eqemu. I have the program on two computers, I run a server from the server computer on my network. I can play on my server from my server computer. I can play any other server from my client computer, ohters can play on my server, but when i try to play my server with both comps, I get the 1017 error on the client comp. I only get the 1017 error on client comp when trying to loggin from the character select screen on my server. any help would be appreciated.

this may sound dumb, but ive never figured out how to get the minilogin set up either. (may very well be my problem,but I figured that was for local server and not a public one)..

I got the second comp to run a simultaneos server with server comp. but still no luck getting connected with client comp to my own servers. any one know what the fix is? if not i guess it will just take time to get it working. thanks for any help in advance.
