Default Unexpected error: spell id out of range

Just noticed this while doing some testing with my SoD client. Running r1664 on 32 bit Ubuntu 10.04.

It happened on my lvl 23 wizard (both gm on and off) when trying to scribe Fay Gate, cazic gate, and a couple of others. Tried a freshly exported spells_us.txt just in case it was a spell file difference, but that didn't fix anything.

Same as usual with these bugs, character pretty much locks up and you have to log out to fix it.

Just tried this on both versions of SoD (the original and the Underfoot version) without any problem. (Gentoo 32 bit, fairly old - not sure on version number).

To test I just created a new Wizard, #setallskill 100, #level 23, #si Fay Gate and Cazic Gate spells and scribed them.

Need to make sure you have SoD's spellfile loaded into the DB or else will for sure get out of range errors. I've tested it myself with spells in the 28,000 range with no problem via SoF or SoD.

Ah, that makes sense. I assume that doesn't come stock with the peq database.

Just to update, for anyone who runs into this problem, it was as I suspected: the char in question had some spells memmed/scribed from the old spell list which broke the spells permanently. Upon deleting/re-creating the char, I was again able to scribe and memorize the spells.
