Default Empty Zone issue

I was using the zone copier from the EOC and wound up creating a mess in my DB with zone data being replicated for a particular zone (2x). In the end I deleted the zone data information for version instance 0, then re-imported from a good DB still using the EOC into instance version 0. However, now when I go to that zone there are no spawns. Looks like the doors and teleports are working tho. I have checked all references to the instance and all look correct, its just not spawning the groups.

Is there any references that might help with troubleshooting this? I can see that this would also help me in creating instanced versions of zones.

Update: Looks like the EOC will copy doors, objects, and spawn group data; creating new DB entries. But it does not copy all the NPCs. It only creates new DB entries for the NPCs, it just does not copy any NPC data.

Does anyone know of another way to copy all zone DB information? Or would it just be manually exports of the data.

It will copy NPC's if you tell it to create new NPC data.

And you need to be more specific on all zone DB information.

I do not have the option of importing the NPCs if I am importing the zone from another DB source. I just have the option for doors and objects.

The option you are referencing is only for local database instance copies. I am pulling from another source DB.

I was referencing all zone information as looking at a single zone and pulling all its pertinent DB information. I realize that a lot of the data is referenced. Thats why I was excited to be able to use the EOC.

The last time I checked and tested the 2nd DB importer will pull in the NPC data. It could be that a query is bombing because of schema differences and this is a likely possibility.

Do you know of a way that I can see what its bombing on?

Edit: The database I messed up was updated from an earlier DB schema to the current schema. I still have that DB live as well as a new DB live. Pulling from the old and the new still does not import NPC data.

It was indeed a schema issue there were missing table columns in my updated DB that is present in the newer DB. I added those and it imported.

Wonderful, I can add some logging to the DB to DB importer, I've just been extremely busy as of late.

I found that it was missing those table columns by using the PHPEditor's insert from clipboard 'function' for NPCs and thats when Heidi returned the missing column. Which of course got me to comparing DBs! =)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction =)

One thing I have noticed is within PHPEditor it seems to put all the imported NPCs under the Designer Apprentice zone. EOC pulls fine.

Weird!

I did this very thing this morning somehow ... The only difference I made was that I didn't delete the original zone , I deleted the copies I made , and somehow my original zone ended up empty. Is there a simplified way to correct this ? All the spawngroup and spawn2 entries are still present in the database , I simply do not understand how copying the zone caused the main zone to end up empty.
