Default Can't see my server

I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of where to diagnose. I set up EQEMu from the Complete Public Server setup guide stickied at the top of this forum, and modified the eqemu_config.xml file based on the settings in Vale's wiki for LAN based play. I've built all the sources (I had to use ActivateState Perl 5.12, but I modified the header files to point to "perl512.dll"). I've also got MySql 5.0.42 installed (couldn't find anything more recent below 5.1.*).

I set up my PEQ and PEQLoginDB, got everything configured the way described. I've verified that the server names in the server registration table match the one in the xml file. I can connect to the EQEmuLoginServer from my client machine (it shows the connection in the console window), but no server appears in the Server List. Any ideas where I should start looking for the problem?

Make sure you have applied all of the required SQL updates in the trunk\EQEmuServer\utils\sql\svn directory, and examine your logs for errors.

The latest 5.0.x release of MySQL isn't all that hard to find. It's right on their website... http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html

I noticed something in the logs for EQEMuLoginServer that might explain why my server isn't showing up? Could this indicate there's an issue with the records in my PeqLoginDB?

Server Test World(testing) did not attempt to log in, but this server requires a password.

I have everything configured per ValesEQ wiki. The one issue I ran into is the wiki refers to a eqemulogin.ini file for configuring EQEmuLoginServer, however I found login.ini in the SVN directory, so I modified that instead.

Based on the error you received, it seems the information in your eqemu_config.xml file is probably not filled out correctly/completely.

Code:
<loginserver>
<host>localhost</host>
<port>5998</port>
<account></account>
<password></password>
</loginserver>
Where it says account and password you need to put the account/password that is in the tblserveradminregistration. (default account/password entered is Admin/Password if nothing was changed)

It works! I'm not sure why my server wouldn't work with the default "Admin/Password" account, but I added a different login to the eqemu_config.xml file and updated the tblServerAdminRegistration table to match and my server is now showing up in the Login screen!

Updating the peq db was a little more painful. MySql v5.0.43 doesn't seem to want to source external files, keeps giving me invalid sql errors. The MySql site has v5.0.94 available for download in zip format, but it's not a -noinstall format, it looks like the source files. Am I supposed to build that?

I went through each file and copied them directly into the Navicat console, when I left for work this morning I was sitting at the Character Select screen! Thanks for the help guys.
