It is probably a good idea to start saving ShowEQ log files now, then. Since they are releasing them yearly now, the next one should come out around Sep-Oct or so. The actual eqgame.exe version we will need logs for is always put on Live a couple of months prior to the expansion. We will want log files from that exact eqgame.exe version. I already has log files from every week or so, so I will probably catch most of what is needed for it anyway.
It all depends on if they put out the expansion on a retail disc, and if that disc includes all of the previous expansions. If it doesn't then it isn't much use to us. Even if it does, we will still need to adjust the LS code to handle the newer clients, since you can't even connect to the current LS with a Live client ATM. If all of that stuff happens, I will try to start working on getting the expansion going with EQEmu after it comes out. Most of the stuff already put in place by the work on SoF should be able to roll over to EQLive with little or no modifications. And, it would be awesome to have the option to use real mercs as well as a few of the other new features.
