eqhost file

im reinstalling on my laptop and when i try to save my host file after changing the loginserver it tells me.....

"cannot create C:\program files(x86)\Sony\EverQuest\eqhost.txt."
"make sure the path and file name are correct."


any help?

Did you delete the folder? Also, sometimes, what you can do is, you can create a NEW eqhost.txt file (just put the regular info into it [see code]) and then just place a copy of it into your EQ Folder. It might be some kind of bug.

Also make sure you have administrative access, and make sure (if you are using Windows Vista/7) that UAC (User Account Control) is turned off.

Best Solution: Go make a folder in the main C:\ called EQ then drag and drop from the C:\program files(x86)\Sony\EverQuest folder to it. No more admin rights problems.

I run everything there and use no administrator rights.
