Default New Emu, New DB?

I'm assuming that since they changed some of the db format in the new Emu we will be needing all new databases. And since the test server appears to be running a fully spawned db I was hoping someone could be so kind as to post a populated db. I personally am not proficient at building spawns and the such and rely in the talent of true db builders. You guys have been great so far and I'm sure you will only be getting better.

Not a major change, but regardless I think I'll release my Lurker0.3 DB in a bit....

Default Couple hundred

Yeah there are only a couple of hundred entries in DB9 where the column count didn't match the value count. It's good to hear that your working on your latest db though. Can't wait to see it.

In the mean time if you download Ariak's DB and just source that in withough sourcing in the DB that comes with the emulator it does work. The world server loads fine and the Zone server states

Using database 'eq' at localhost
Loading items & NPCs...DB Query Error
Error #1054: Unknown column 'd_meele_texture1' in 'field list'
NPCs loaded - using old database format
done.
Spells loaded from 'spdat.eff'.
Loading guild ranks...done.
Loading faction data...done
Connect to worldserver: 127.0.0.1:9000
Entering sleep mode

So if you source in an old database it appears that the emulator will use some form of backwards compatability. So until the DBs are updated for the table additions you can use the old ones without any problems other than 1 complaint by the zone server.

no, there were many changes not related to the npc_types table change.

My DB really isn't that different that Ariak's or Drawde's, I just add some more zones, and have tried to get rid of import errors ect. What are you refering to as broken? Stuck unmoving at safepoint? I am not sure if this is something new or not, the ones I have gotten stuckin I hadn't visited prior to 3.1

there are some changes in npc_types (and only in this table) in 3.1. The emu will accept old databases though but of course not forever (means in 3.2 or 3.3 it won't support 3.0 databases anymore). The new fields (5) are atm only used with the databaseupdate which we will be published soon.

Default DB 10?

Ariak, is your DB10 released yet? Haven't seen any links for it and would love to take a look.

I had to delete a couple hundred spawns in Skyshrine due to a mysteriously well-hidden bugged-spawn.

I have 1/11 of the zone spawned now, yay..

I have added a bunch of items. I went and hand-checked EVERY item I added with Magelo and fixxed the icon. I will add EQ's Skyshrine. In 11.0, I will add EQ's Kael, and remove the temporary Kael I have now..

Stay Tuned!
