Default Can I Just Install An EQEmu Database On My Computer?

Several years ago I had put a WoW database in my computer to play like a single player game.

Can I do the same with EQEmu?

I just want to be able to tweak it to my liking and play it on my computer add if it was a single player game.

Yes, but you need more than just a database. The EMU will communicate with your client to serve the content.

Yes, use the guide and make sure you set it up as a private server if its just going to be you. That is also in the guide.

Angelicus,
As a warning, I had trouble the first few times trying to get the emulator to work properly. Your best resources are the threads that have already been established to answer FAQs and the search tool to look for more peculiar issues.

If you have a clean machine that you can wipe a few times if you make mistakes, I recommend using that one first to install the Emu and DB. Once you have something working, back it up!
