Want to revisit EQ please help

I used to play EQ long time ago since Velious, to GOD. I loved the game so much, used to be a guide for it also.

I to tell you all what I am looking for exactly , and then you all might be able to direct me.

I mainly wanted to be able to explore the entire game with out having to worry about getting killed. I want to be able to port to different zones to explore everything. That is my main purpose for right now. Also it would be cool deck out a character in lots of cool gear.

Would making my own server be the way to go ? I can have access to all items in game, make them like a GM, be invincible .. stuff like that.
