Default Program to animate eq models

Which programs can animate models to be used in everquest? Is it just anim8er or can other programs like blender or max do the same?

I was afraid of that =\.

I can import my models into anim8er from blender though so that is nice.

Good thing about modeling programs such as Milkshape, 3ds Max, Maya is that they support many formats. I personally bought milkshape because if its ability to apply joints/bones to specific vertexes and not worry about enveloping for muscle formation/stretching of the skin. It's not as powerful as 3ds max but its simplicity can make the life of a modeler heaven. :p Especially when you aren't particularly worried about detail as you would in a new-age game.

I went with Anim8or for several reasons:

1. It's free.

2. I was able to learn to use it.

3. The file format is open so I was able to write code so that OpenZone could parse it.

It would be nice to support other formats, but adding support any new format involves a lot of work, and I simply haven't been able to justify devoting the time to it over other concerns.
