Default 1017!

Ok, so I've registered, set up the short cut, etc.

Now I'm at the login screen. I clicked on a 5.9-DR1 server, and it logged me into char screen ok, but says I do not kunark and things like that when I own all of the expansions.

I signed on a 5.9-DR2 server and it let me create an iksar but it wouldn't load after about 3 minutes, so I C+A+D it.

Is there a patch that I'm suppose to get? I haven't seen anything about it on the client side. Can someone please explain where I patch or what it is that I am doing wrong? I just created the account, activated it, set up the shortcut and txt file, now I need to figure out how to join servers.

I'm pretty sure it has to relate to a patch.

All of the 5.9 servers are using the classic DB, meaning NO expansions. The older ones still work though, so find a patcher and you'll be able to play on WR or Scorp2k.

had to delete the EQ copied folder due to some patcher. is there a correct one that you all know of?

I have no idea why the hell this has been so difficult but i'm really burning out here and need help. I tried mIRC and within 5 minutes I received a trojan. GREAT, HUH?

also: [LoginServer]
Host=newlogin1.eqemulator.net:5995

is that correct? I can't login to the servers anymore and half the servers on the page (before I fucked it up) were locked!

Go to http://scorpious2k.2ya.com and at the top where it says We're Using 5.7 DR6 click that and follow their guide.

EqHost.txt for a 5.9 DR1 or DR2 server should be:
[Login Server]
Host=newlogin1.eqemulator.net:5994

Like it was mentioned before; most 5.9 servers are running off the 5.8 Classic EQ DB, therefore only Old world content is in effect. Now, you can set Expansions=255 in the DB so you can create ALL characters and Classes, however, you wouldn't be able to login with an Iksar if a Start_Zone hadn't been associated with the Iksar.

Keep in mind this is for 5.8 Classic non-customized DB only, I'm sure some have added the proper Start_Zones for all Races and Classes.

there host shows 5995... meanwhile, someone else said 5994...

also, the scorp link still won't log into their server.

It maybe that 5.7 DR6 uses port 5995, but now the 5.9 builds use port 5994 to access the Login Server.

*thanks for the clarification

*going to bomb the eq folder, start from stratch (again) and try 5994.

*maybe I can ACTUALLY login this time.

/crosses fingers.

Ok Malignus heres my rewording: All of the servers on 5.9 DR1 or 2 are using the 5.8 Classic DB with No expansions unless they were not lazy and either:
a) wrote their own DB
b) sourced in all zones, models, items, etc...

Ok, I can login to the server select screen now.

Delima is, it won't let me join half the servers, and when I get to the char screen and make a char, it won't load it.

GDMF@!#@$

10+hours spent on this and counting.

I just connected to the IryLand2004 server. I created a Gnome Paladin and I joined Akanon quickly. I haven't tried the others yet...
