just to recap, you are following the steps in the guide exactly http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=GetTit, you did:

Step 3 - Changing the EQHost file
Click 'Start', go to 'Run', type in, 'C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\eqhost.txt'
Modify the file to look like
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

Save and close.

and then:

Step 4 - Creating the Shortcut
I'm assuming you know how to make a shortcut on the desktop.

Make a new shortcut, I recommend you do it on the desktop, but where ever you want is fine.
The Target should be '"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme'

That is it for getting on, now you need a login server account.

Hi,

I had the exact same problem. I figured that I have changed recently my video card, so i decided to launch OptionsEditor.exe to choose the video options.
And the servers are now back in the server selection list !! And I can play !!

Hope this trick can help you too .

Im having the same issue and it seems like a lag problem.

The only time it works is when I reset my router before loging into server select. Im going LD frequently on one of the accounts while the 2nd one seems to be stable.
