Default New Setup Woes

Anyone EVER get this to work 1st try? lol

I had so many issues getting to log in, finally was able to after in spire turning on login server making sure it was ticked so then now the login server is powered on and I can log in, but i see a black page, no servers listed. I initially had nothing registered in the https://www.eqemulator.org/index.php?pageid=ws_mgmt page. Now, I have made a private one, still see no servers listed, changes it to public, still nothing.

WTB a seamless, question asking install where when done, you log in and boom a server is listed.

I scrapped it, gonna start over. Is there a "right" way to do this with all steps listed? Even the PreReqs and PostReqs to which the end result will be logging in to the client and seeing a server you made?

I had the same issue. Couldn't log into my server either with a local login or from eqemulator site. I found that in the eqemu_config.json file that under the "world" setting it listed my world address correctly. Under local address it had 127.0.0.1 listed. That 127.0.0.1 is wrong. You have to add the ip address of the machine that you are using as the server. For example instead of 127.0.0.1 it should be, as an example, 192.168.0.10. That address has to be whatever your machine's IP address is.

I also added a :0000 to the end of the "world" address. It actually didn't fix the problem because after I added it I still couldn't log in to my server until I changed the local address from 127.0.0.1. I left it there, because it hasn't caused me any issues yet.

Hope this helps a bit.

@ccyre3 yes please share your ways with us. I'm stuck. Whenever Spire or the server start up, it's rejected by my machine. Did you have to change firewall settings?
