Support::General SupportPost all topics here having to do with errors while trying to connect to an EQEMu server but not about the setup/running of the Server itself.
Just what the titles says. My bro logs in and runs around the zone all day but if he zones he gets disconnected and then when he tries to log in it'll keep disconnecting. He can get to the character selection screen just fine. But it will DC during load up of character. After some time though or a server restart he can log back in again IN the zone he tried to get to, but still disconnects when he tries to zone again. Any idea what is happening here?
I have had something like this happen before. If you updated from a previous version, make sure you ran all the DB updates. I also seem to recall that it might have been something in my inventory that was screwing things up. A bag with > 10 slots I think did this once.
Check the server output to see if anything stands out. On occasion, there is a clue there.
Thank you for the suggestions. The database is up to date its a fresh install of Akka's Pre install and as far as the server output. ... Where do I check on that? lol I'm still new to the entire running my own server. I did check my connection at other places like the wifi at Burger King and at my other brothers house and it does indeed Disconnect upon zoning. Then it takes like some time for it to log back in, however while I'm on my own network I can zone around just fine. This kind of sounds like my router or windows 7 firewall issue? Any ideas how to fix this? Or lead me to where I can diagnose this would be greatly helpful. As I said I don't even know where the log for the server output is. I'm still only working the server maybe like an hour a day. Having two jobs makes it hard to find time. But its only temporary Seasonal spending needs.
