i figured it out...you have to make the eqhost.txt the same as eqhost.live the same registry numbers

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the eqhost.live file is not the solution here. There's something funky with the login server, and the dev team knows about it. This is a serverside problem, and we'll try to figure it out.

In the meantime, you could go out and play with the family dog!

Merth, just for an update. I created an account after your posting (around 2am MST) and I have gotten the username/password error every time. I can log onto the forumns, but havn't been able to log into EQEmu. So the waiting/retrying trick didn't work for me.

I have this problem, too. I use multiple accounts for debugging, and one of them stopped working altogether last night. Not sure what is causing any of this at the moment.
