I.e AA's, pathing, etc just like the live server?

We've been sitting on 70-75% for over a month now.

And what have YOU done to help?????????

Contribute. Identify bugs. Fix code. Build a database. Packet collect needed information. Contribute CASH to the effort. Get off your butt and do something other than whine.

The devs are working hard to get it working. Others of us contribute in our own small ways to help. All of it is done for no reward other than the satisfaction of having done it and the pride or being a part of something great.

So I repeat my question: What have you done to help?

Consiquently.. the reason we don't have AAs working is because I can't get logs from people...oh and we have college/jobs to do.

Well,

This guys prly doesn't know how hard other people work to make this emuilator extremely fun when it is working.

I am impressed that the devs here have been able to acheive so much. Seriously, this isn't some little freekin pacman emulator or something. This is a real 3d first person role playing game that took years to develop to what it has become.

About the only thing I could contribute is soem database info, updates. I haven't been able to get 5.0 working local mainly because of cvs. I'm gonna try some more CVS prggys to get the source and make a local server to start building some mob data into.

For me a good part of the fun with this Emulator is making cool, items adding in custom mobs and playing with the possibilities.

Anyways, don't let some idiot get you guys down. I know it prly won't, but it isn't fun to see a post like this.

And this is where people who dont know code... (IE: Me... & You...)

Shut up and scurry back to our holes in the presence of such genius... If nothing else you could use the packet collector... It isnt that difficult...

And before you start criticizing these guys... Try a project like this... I started a mod for Diablo II to change it to Star Wars... And life gets in the way FAST... Thats why they dont give ETA's.... And you know they are spending alot of time getting Dev releases out to speed up the project... It looks like they are spending most of their time doing that... So they are spending probably 60% if not more of their time working on a beta-like release so that they can get feedback and help AND still allow other people to play and not have to wait... And you just told them it sucks... And they need to work faster...

I am new here so I am just going to try to give a short comment. Don't let that one guy who complained bother you. I remember years ago when NES and Sega emulators were first being worked on. Someone would complain and those working on the project would get angry and drop it or get discouraged. The end result was a half-dozen unfinished emulators. So the best thing to do is blow off punks like that. You never know, he could be some 11 year old piss ant who just wants a free game because mommy won't pay for EQ anymore. You developers started something you believe in, and still do, so stay focused on what you are trying to accomplish if for no other purpose but to prove you could do it. I have yet to try out the eqemu myself but from what I have read so far it sounds pretty phenominal and I tip my hat off to you guys. Keep up the good work.
