I can load all the way up to the server screen, but when I choose a server and click connect, the screen just goes black and doesn't do anything or load to a character screen.
I'm sure someone's already posted a topic with the same problem but I had problems using the search function lol.
My laptop was doing the same thing. It turned out some of my EQ folder got patched. So I had to reload from the CDs. Not sure if doing the same will help you but it may be worth a shot.
Ya, if you have tried multiple servers and they all do that, then you almost certainly have the wrong version of EQ. If you are using an illegal downloaded version, then you should go out and purchase a legal copy of EQ Titanium. The best 20$ you can spend.
Same problem. I have a laptop running vista. I have a good Titanium and even tried transferring the entire directory from my desktop machine which runs fine.
Ok, just something else to check. When this happened to me I found the LoginType in the Variables Table was set to public, and I was using minilogin. So check the LoginType, may or may not help. Just a thought.
I solved my problem by removing the AMD dual core optimizer program. It now logs in every time. Before it would log into a server about 1 in 3 and log a toon into the game about the same.
I do have to run with the low graphics power optimizer option turned on or my toons run around at world record speeds.
