Hiya i used to play on eqemu and stoped for a while got a new comp and stuff and well where do i download the stuff for eqemu and instructions on how to set it up.

You dont need to DL anything. You can play on a Live compatible 6.2 server. Of wich PEQ is your best choice.

i have a question, i can log in and make a character, but it sticks at the "submitting name" screen on the PEQ server. how do i fix that?

I dont know..Maybe you should try to patch again. But just in case save a copy of what you have. If you havent tried to create different characters maybe try it. Otherwise all I can think of is a video driver problem. All I can say is I have had no trouble like that. And I have set up 2 other players beside me from live and it was smooth transitions.
