Thats how a buisness makes money.. If a resource is costing alot, and it's not providing any value add, you cut it.. Just like dropping your HBO because you never watch it.
Care about the players? Im confused why they should 'care' about the players, what they care about is 2 things.
Overall product acceptance (and player base) and their own economic feaibility (inflow/outflow ratios).
If they didnt care about the players, they wouldnt care about their own business, as logically the number of players would drop, as would their profits... As it stands, they must care pretty good because the eq players numbers are huge.
Customer service might not be the best, but most companies have crappy customer service, just a fact of life..
Im confused why everyone one feels it necessary to personify, and then villify verant. They produce a product, they make money on it, we happily gobble it up and play said product and pay the monthly cost. Yes, there are things I dont like about it, but I doubt they did it intentionally to frustrate anyone. That would be antiproductive to their product, and also their consumer base.
They are just a company.. Anyone that personally hates these people probably should consider therapy imho.
I dont like alot of things about EQ, but then again, I dont like alot of things...
