Ok I'm interested in this Gentoo Linux. May I ask what packages the devs use ? Probably whats going to happen at this time is I'm going to stick another hard-drive in and duel-boot Xp Pro / Linux . Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I started out with Redhat linux way back when ( think it was at 4.0 when I started ) , Ive since steered away from linux but am willing to give it a go.

(p.s. FTN what do you use as a development platform, and associated programs? Never hurt to ask. )
