Exclamation Server "List"

Is there any way we can add a "registered servers" page to eqemulator.net, along with some form of coding that would show if the server is ONLINE or OFFLINE at the time [or updates every 15 minutes, just a simple ping: response- online, no response- offline.]... and every server listed have a link to their personal homepages to describe what their server is like, or what they offer.

Because server surfing kind of sucks. Writing it down doesn't work because places change names. More order would make this whole process a lot easier- not to mention be really cool. This way we don't have to surf around for information...

Ya dig?

This page is on front of wiki documentation :
http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...=activeservers
And can be edit by everyone, but few people speak about his server...
I don't think only if you add more options, the servers's administrators will be registered more instead of being lazy.

We have tried this before in the past, servers come and go so quick it would be too much work.

We already had something similar to this that was nearly completely functional. Something (I think our migration to vBulletin) broke it and it hasn't been maintained since. Don't know how much work it would be to have that functional again.

I remember seeing a web-based server status script that displayed the name of the server and the population.

Seems to be something about it here: http://www.theclenchedfist.com/proje...tus/index.html

Maybe someone with Perl knowledge could hack it up a bit.
