Question Glitchy movement on server

I've tried to search for an answer to this, but can't seem to find anything similar happening to others.

I am having trouble with the movement of player characters. After playing for a random period of time my chars seem to warp at a much greater speed when turning or walking forward and backward. Shutting down the server and restarting doesn't have any effect once this begins happening. Only restarting the computer fixes the problem.

Is this something that others have had trouble with? If so has anyone found a fix for it? I couldn't find anything in the forums about it...might not be using the correct terms when searching though.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Warping around if it happens to you in all eq environments (all servers) could be caused by a known issue with everquest itself with hyperthreaded and duel core CPU's, especially AMD's... for more information on that go to the eqlive website and check out the known issues area...

For a fix for this in the eqemu environment, try this:

http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/sho...ighlight=issue

If you don't have a multi laired CPU then it's most likely a different problem, but if you do this is likely the problem

Hope that helps.

Yep, dual core AMD...sounds like that's the problem then.

Thanks for the reply.
