Couldn't etablish a connection ... help plz

Hi

Here is my prob , I installed eq titanium , didn't patched , made the shortcut to not patch , and when I click on my shortcut , or even on eq.exe It tells me " couldn't not etablish a connection please check your network connection or contact soe blahblah

Any idea of how to fix it ?
