LAN Package

Is anyone out there working on some sort of fully functional LAN package for the EQEmu? It seems like everything is geared towards the public servers, but I sure would like to see something that could be easily set up for a few friends to play on a network, without a ridiculous amount of hassle. I don't mind taking the time to set everything up properly, and it taking some effort, but as it stands, I personally struggle getting everything working right with the minilogin.

For someone who has never run a public server, setting up one on a network for just some friends to play on - with the scant minilogin documentation - is quite a chore. For me, it doesn't even seem to be worth the effort.

Any suggestions? And is anyone out there working on some sort of fully functional package, or would that even be endorsed?
