Default Connection issue?

I am having issues logging into any servers. I can pick any server from the list and its the same result every time. What happens is when i go to pick a character and enter the world it just dumps me right back to the login screen.

I followed the instructions which where simple enough, change hosts file and add patchme to shortcut.

I have reinstalled EQ twice both times deleting the sony directory yet still this issue persists.

Any ideas what could be going on?

Solved! Turns out it was a dual core problem but all info i found was misleading since all i have read about dual core issues pertain to AMD dual cores.

Anyone interested this took care of it.
