while working on my own server i had an idea very much like this but i know i,ll never find the time to do anything.
the idea i was thinking of was for a fast-leveling PVP+ server built around a small set of zones & 1-2 town zones with a completely random itemdrop design based on the old-school UO weapons/armor (pre-rennisance). (maybe 1 town per "team" or just 1 town if no-teams)
would need to work up a huge loottable for basic weapons & armours. i figured ruin/might/force/power/vanquishing weapons are easy just mod up the max damage appropriately.
accuracte/exceedingly/surpassingly/etc accuracy ratings easily done with a +attack modifier.
the durability ratings was thinking to leave out or rework in some way.
armor much like weapons would be easy to do. defense/guarding/etc simple +ac adjustments.
would be a huge list considering one would have to make a individual item for each and every combination of accuracy & damage ratings plus WAAAY more if you worked out somthing for durability also.
add in a few "raid mobs" and some basic fun custom exp zones a few quests mebbe rework a UO-style set of tradeskills for some flavor (now theres a task hah!)
donno...this is about all i came up with just letting me mind wander one day heh. but still think it'd been fun to do. love to built it all around a "battleground" type map (think of the instancedish level locked battle ground zones from daoc for example, with the single keeps in the middle ripe for the taking)
