Default Kicked back to login after choosing server

I have gone back almost a year in posts and have collected and tested all kinds of "fixes" for this issue. I am sure there may have, in the past, been a thread and fix for this issue but after making an attempt to find one that is specific as my issue, i cannot find it.

My issue is this, I am able to run and login on the client. I see the server list fine and I can select a server and click to play. The loading screen comes up and the glorious music begins to play. I get pumped up to play evercrack and then right as it finishes the load and should bring up the character select screen. It boots me back to the login screen.

Now here are a few things that I have noticed. One: There is no error code given, i sometimes get a ding from windows but that is it. Two: I have heard of issues with the windowed mode and I have gone back and forth with resolutions and sizes and still cannot overcome this obstical. Three: right before the login screen comes back up, the screen looks like it is trying to resize itself by windowing and un-windowing like a hummingbird on speed.

This leads me to believe its my display that is causing the block. I am using a Geforce 5500 FX and have updated with the newest driver. I have also updated my Direct X. I have uninstalled nearly 10 times and tried all kinds of solutions using the eqclient.ini . The only thing that I have recently seen that i have not tried is the compatibility option. I am running XP. Hope someone else has had the same issue and found a fix. (I am using a legit copy of Titanium btw)

are you using new models? Geforce 5500 FX is a pretty dated card, try disabling the new models are see if that helps any

If your computer is a bit older, I am guessing it isn't running on a Dual or Quad Core CPU? If it is, then there are certain fixes you might want to try.

What server are you trying to connect to each time, or have you tried multiple? I would suggest trying at least a few to make sure that it isn't just a problem with the server you are trying. My server is Storm Haven and it normally doesn't have any connection issues that I am aware of. Also, you can try any of the preferred servers. Especially if their player numbers on the list aren't showing a large amount at the time. Anything 50 or less should have little chance of it being a server issue causing you to not connect.

You might want to search the SOE forums for your videocard and see if they recommend certain drivers. You might also want to make sure you have DirectX 9c (I think c is the latest before 10), and up-to-date video card drivers if you can't find any fixes on the SOE forums.
