Default Client crash question

Is there a log file somewhere that I can check to see what the last bit of eqemu client was loaded before it crashed?

If so, where?

This is the error I am getting: "eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I just upgraded my computer:

Was XP, 2 gig ram, 7800 nvidia

Now XP, 4 gig ram, 9800 nvidia

Since the upgrade, my client crashes before the login screen even comes up. The crash produces this error: "This is the error I am getting: "eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

BTW, I get the error as soon as I'm done double clicking on the icon to launch eqemu. I don't even get a login screen.

Check your video card drivers, you may need to drop back or get the latest. Could be either way. I'd try making sure you have or getting the latest and go from there.

I have downloaded the latest video drivers. Was wondering if anyone else was having this problem with a new video card.

Try adjusting your desktop resolution and EQ resolution settings. I think that is a fairly common issue with video.
