Default Classic EQ Remake?

About six months ago I saw a web page for a development team that is working on remaking Classic EQ. Has anyone heard of such a project? Can I get a link to the project if possible? I've lost the bookmark I had for it and I'd really love to be able to track this project if its still in development, or get to playing it if it's been finished. Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate it.

There are a hand full of classic based servers in our community. The one I think you are looking for is a refuge who is taking our code and trying to rewrite parts of it to make it exactly as classic was. Thus, they have considered themselves their own community and do not reside here. In about three seconds, google tells me their website is eqclassic.net

the "classic" servers come up new one each week around here, they all identical like rain drops and have lifespan of about 2 weeks and population of less than 5 people.

Except some die hard fantics no one realy want to go through the hell of spending 7-12 month XP grinding just to get to lev 50 and proudly wear full suit of bronze armor like it was in 1999

I am making a legit classic pve server.. but I am not affiliated with eqclassic.org. I have a feeling this is who you are remembering, if you had heard about a team from 6 months ago.. and not my own.

http://classicbetatest.guildlaunch.com/

is the link to the Project 1999 webpage. The team developing the server have played on a bunch of the classic servers that happen to shut down after a few weeks. The server has been developed going on the 6th month now. We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnell. Feel free to come on by and check it out, we have put in way too much time to shut down in a few weeks.
