2 Box Max, as anything over that can cause issues.
If the server were to actually get that big, it would be able to support 2-300 players. I have friends that work in a major datacenter, and let me cohost server computers for free if I wish.
No, there will not be a /zone ability. There may be travel modes to get from one side of a continent to the other a little quicker, but nothing like, "Go from Qeynos to Freeport".
AAND: This is just in brainstorm mode. I'm actually working on pseudocode now for some of the stuff that I need to do.
