Talking Bogus Character

Backed up character, then updated DB.

Imported charactor back into DB.

Fired up emu and try to log character in. The character is not available at char select.

Found following message in log.

[Debug] [WORLD__CLIENT] Connection 192.168.0.2 PASSED banned IPs check. Processing connection.
[Debug] [WORLD__CLIENT] Willowylady: Logged in. Mode=(CharSel)
[Debug] [WORLD__CLIENT] Willowylady: LS Account #xxxxxx
Got a bogus character (Helygyn) Ignoring!!!
PP length =0 but PP should be 19568

Any ideas / solution for this?

Thanks.

looks like the profile blob in database is a null. Make sure the backup and restore handles these types of fields.

I've had the same/similar problem.
looking at the data in the blob (in the sql dump file), on some
characters there were 2 hex fields (0x). and the sourcing would fail on them.
I had to source in the data by hand, selecting only the 1st section of the hex field.

That seemed to work - i didn't notice any data on my char lost.
