Default Can't log into Project 1999 server today

I am able to get to the screen to pick my characters. right when I click my character. A black screen pops up saying "You have been disconnected". How do I fix this? Anybody know why it is happening to me?

I would suggest to post on the P1999 forums if you are having an issue with only that particular server. Here, we have no control over and do not support individual servers, only the Website/Forums, Login Server, and general EQEmu issues.

This is the same for any specific server. If you have a problem with only 1 server, post your issue on that server's website/forums and deal with it directly with them.

The same thing happens to me, I start the EQemu Launcher and:

Loading serverlist ...
Could not reach webserver. Trying again in 10 seconds.

But the load of the list always fails. It worked perfectly yesterday.

Maybe try http://www.project1999.org/ as I suggested in the last post I made in this thread. Server is up and players are online. Sounds like you guys are probably having issues with the EQEmu Launcher, which is something that is not supported directly by these forums as we do not host or develop that tool. When the Launcher web host is down, it won't work, but you can always still just connect to EQEmu the normal way without using the launcher by following the simple guide here:

http://www.eqemulator.org/wiki/wikka...akka=PlayGuide

Basically, you just need to change your eqhost.txt file and make a shortcut to your eqgame.exe file and modify that shortcut. Then you never need the launcher again and won't be affected when the hosting for that tool is down.

If you had read the following sticky in this section of the forums, you would already know all of that though:

Thank you very much for your answer. I did as you suggested and I can now launch EQ bypassing the launcher and it all works fine.

Sorry for having had to post, but I'm a new player (3 or 4 days old..) and I did not know the links you referred me to.

Thanks again )

Hi there, I'm also having this problem. I've followed to instructions to launch from the exe, but I'm getting the message "Could not establish a connection. Please check..."

Did I do something wrong? I even did a fresh reinstall to make sure everything was perfect.

Thanks so much,
Smoflow
