Cannot get the game to start. Please help.

I didn't expect a reply this late at night.

Anyways, I don't see how that would literally prevent the game from loading up when I click on EQGame, and stop this weird error message as a result of clicking on EQGame, but anyways, I do have a Login Server account:

Account 1: *the user name* (the account number that I'm not sure if it's safe or not to give out.)

Edit: BTW, please, let me stress this. I at very least am pretty sure that I did everything the site suggested, except for one thing I somehow missed by accident. The problem, and this is the really important part that truly needs to be grasped is this.

When I click on the shortcut to the EQGame, after I put patchme at the end of it like the play guide told me to, NOTHING loads up, other than the very small window with the EXACT same message that I already posted. In other words, no login screen, no part of Everquest at all, or anything like it, just a message saying there's a connection error, and to contact Sony about it.

Oh, and btw, my connection is fine.

So if you can think of what I did wrong, please help me out.
