Hi hi, you shouldnt play on the same machine you host the server on, because it will take too much of the system resources away from your server to give to EQ, because of the way the Client is written up, it draws (at least) 200 megs of ram, and since your server need (all servers) need as much as they can get, thats 200 less for the server, not counting the processing power it takes for EQ, it (benchmarked) takes about 88% of your processor, so playing EQ on the same machine as your server is hosted, is um, well a big NO NO if you dont want major lag spikes....
