I installed Wamp which comes with MySQL 5.5, PHP, and Apache (The apache and PHP I'm using for PEQ Editor) and so far it works great with 5.5.

Are you using Windows 7?
Make sure you have the most current PEQDB files. Mine was Rev2214 I think.

I placed mine in a folder on my desktop.
If your using windows 7 you can "hold shift" then right click on the folder then click on Command prompt. That will open you command prompt on that folder. In the command prompt type this:
Code:
mysql -uroot -p
you will see MqSQL start up and ask for a "password:"
Enter your password then you will see this:
Code:
mysql>
Then type your peq database name like this:
Code:
mysql> use peq
Then it should say changed to peq or using peq or something like that.

then:
Code:
source peqdb_rev2214.sql

then

source load_player.sql

and/if

load_bots.sql
the rest are the update files in your "EQEmu\util\sql" folder
any of the numbers higher then your rev are updates and you can use you 3rd party program to source them in real fast. Also check out Navicat. I tend to use it more then Heidi though I use both of them I like Navicat much better.

I didn't use the Bot release so never sourced it in. and also make sure the peqdb_rev sql file is in the same folder as the other sql files you just downloaded.

as long as you have the most resent things you shouldn't have a problem.

http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=29784

Before you sourced the load_player.sql did you open the file and set the correct file paths?

By default it will look something like this:

source player_tables/aa_timers.sql;
source player_tables/account.sql;
source player_tables/account_ip.sql;
source player_tables/account_rewards.sql;

But in order for it to work it should look similar to this:

source C:/Temp/player_tables/aa_timers.sql;
source C:/Temp/player_tables/account.sql;
source C:/Temp/player_tables/account_ip.sql;
source C:/Temp/player_tables/account_rewards.sql;

and i did this but still will not work for me.

I changed load_player back to source/player_tables and did the shift right click thing and it worked, thanks, but gave an error on loading the bots but thats ok, more worried about getting the server up and running first. Now to try to run it and see what happens.

Nope with the most resent rev of the peqdb I didn't have to change anything. I don't know about the bots sql, didn't use it.

But the players sql and the actual rev I never had a prob on at all. I have tweeked my db so many time in the last week getting the way I want it or tring different things that I have had to source / back it up several times. never with any problems.

very important to be in the same directory as your sql files when you open your command prompt and start mysql.
