Default how to set up and play on 2 different servers?

I'm currently playing Project 1999. I got the titanium edition game and installed and patched it for that server and it's working great.

Say I also want to check out The Hidden Forest, which has entirely different spell and zone files. I would need an alternate install of the Titanium edition EQ game to customize for that server, but on installation, the Titanium discs don't offer to let you select directory. I tried changing the name of the existing EQ install, both the folder and the exe, but the disc autoexecute still says do you want to repair, modify or uninstall the current installation of EQ.

Am I missing something painfully obvious, or is it not possible to have 2 installations of EQ with custom files installed set up to play on different emulated servers? Even if I had to change the names of the folders depending which I wanted to run in a given game session.

(this didn't seem like any kind of a bug that I would put in a support but just a general inquiry, is it possible to have side-by-side customized EQ installs.)

Move your P99 directory somewhere else, say c:\eq\p1999 or something.
Install Titanium again.
Move that directory to c:\eq\fresh_install
Copy the fresh_install directory and name it thf or whatever.
Whenever you want to try a different server you can make a new copy of the fresh_install and put any custom files in it.

The important thing is that setting up a client directory for P99 generally makes it unusable for anything else. If you decided you didn't like THF and wanted to try Stormhaven you could probably get by with just replacing the spell file, but the P99 directory has a lot more changes and you'd most likely have trouble trying to get it back to normal.

thanks so much! I copied the folder and made a new shortcut to the emulator exe, and opened the options in the Emu and pointed it at the new folder and eqgame locations, working good so far. Now I can play with installing other server files.

I expect with distinct folders, I'd be opening that options window and pointing at the right folder each time I wanted to switch servers...so it was looking at the right files.

oh nevermind, I see now that each EQemulator.exe keeps its own options so it's set and forget.
