Anyone know of a guide to create an offline/LAN server

I will be going to a place where there will be no internet service for a while and want to be able to set up a offline/lan server to help pass the time. I set up Spire (followed guide from eqemulator docs) but can't connect the client (Titanium) from host computer or travel laptop to it. Can't create an account to log into it. If someone knows of a guide that I can use, could you please point me in the right direction?

Please delete. someone walked me through my error. just need to figure out how to set my account to GM so I can moderate the others.
