Newbie question about PEQ

Ok, I know PEQ's been undergoing several things. Currently no website, etc etc.

However, I see alot of people still playing on it. What I'm asking is:

Are there special files I need to play on it? Alot of servers have patchers or spell/map/other files needed, or is it just add it to the eqhost file and have fun?
